White of tail often strongly stained buffish to yellowish. Female: Less bulging gular pouch, less pronounced crest and black base of tail.

They are mostly found in Belum-Temenggor Forest Reserve, the last remaining frontiers that supprt sizeable populations of large birds such as HORNBILLS..
